i bought one last year, had a soft spot in the floor, ripped the whole floor out, replaced it all, wasn't that bad, but sold it when I bought my toy hauler.

my son's going to be moving end of feb and has to be out of his rent house and will be gone about 6 months. so i thought hell i should just buy a car hauler, he can keep everything in there,

and i can store it at the storage I take care of, inside, and he can just pay the monthly bill.

so i found a pace pursuit 24' that has a roof leak, needs wood repair inside.

why in the hell i get myself into these projects lol. i guess i'll wire it all, add an ac unit, insulate it, while i got it all apart. I know im going to regret this, but it sure beats the new price of them.

its about 2k less than one i was supposed to pick up in texas yesterday but during the rain he noticed a leak, so i passed on that one.

i may just have to repair the leak, let him use it and when he's where ever he;s going I can start then i guess.

and I really don't need it is the problem, but the same trailer new is 20k, so i don't think i can lose. last summer i got 8500 for mine, and it was wired, ac, not insulated, new floor and ceiling wood, with etrack but i also did flip down couches since i found a great deal on a set.

Yeah and I’m suppose to re do our pontoon boat completely this winter. Easy enough more value blah. I don’t need more work. I’m my own worst negotiator. All depends on the most expensive part. Time.

good luck on the decision. I’m ignoring mine for the time being.

deep down i hope he sells it before tomorrow morning, 2 hr drive, but if its there its coming home lol

drove 2.5 hours early this morning, show up and of course its NOTHING LIKE HE SAID.

water soaked wood all over, both vents are completely broken out and missing, plus its raining here lol. one side of the trailer looked like it sat in AZ facing the sun for 10 years, chalked bad, and he says you could paint it. the front cap had some stress cracks which I wasn't so concerned with, but the roof had about a 1-1.5 inch rise up front where it connects to the cap. that's the part that scared me off more than anything. last thing i want to do is tackle a whole roof.

based on what a 24' enclosed with 5200lb torsion axles are going for, it was still a deal, but way more work than I wanted to bite off.

Bro, I irked at reading this thread but refrained from commenting. I'm so over projects it's not even funny. I think I'm just getting old, I dunno. As it is, maintenance alone kicks my butt between everything that burns fuel that I own. Every time I turn around, something needs attention. I'm also looking at enclosed trailers but this thread scared the daylights out of me. I'll just keep loading and unloading my flatbed that's been flawless for so long. Damn. Good luck man.

there seems to be good deals all over the US except for around me lol. This trailer was a "good" deal for someone, as i just sold an almost identical for about 3500 more. but your right im getting old also. I really want a new one, but all I read is how crappy the newer ones (since covid) are. so im on the hunt for the barn find lol. its out there, i'll find it someday.

my issue with buying one afar is if i have someone drive it to me and something happens like a wheel bearing or 2 tires blow out then what? they just leave it and I'm screwed or what? I can't seem to find any answers on that one. then am i stuck driving 1/2 way there to fix it, cause I don't have time for that either lol, but having an enclosed was nice, i could keep everything in one spot ready to go any time. that did make it nice lol.
