POST EM HERE! We want to read about your experiences! Peace

Trip Report Veterans 2023: First one of the year for us. Prepped real good. Loaded the Moho / Trailer and headed out. Brand New 240hp Can Am. Couldn't wait to feel that bad boy. Name is Thunder. We have a 22hr drive ahead of us. Sleep all you want. It's a 22 HR drive. Five (5) hrs out in Midland TX, the floor started vibrating like crazy like the coach was on the highway titties on the side of the lane. Warning whistles. Called two of the most reliable persons I could think of one said look under the coach and see what the motor release tube is doing. "Blowing lots of white smoke." You're blowing up again! EFFN CAT 3126. Called my number two guy and he said crawl underneath and check your Drive Line U-Bolts. Saw 1 1/2"  (shiny) chrome drive line shaft pulling out from the engine. Luckily there was a Parking Area next exit when the commotion started happening. Spent the night there. Called some mechanics in the morning (SATURDAY), they mentioned if it's U-Bolts Freightliner isn't open until Monday. Both guys said turn around and head home. Took two days driving 45 mph to make it home. LUCKILY we made it home! Shed quite a few tears sitting at home fearing we were going to miss the greatest trip of the year. Decided to throw in some coolers unload the Moho food in the freezer, Six bags of ice on top, throw in some blankets / pillows and hit the road. We couldn't miss this trip. Pulled over in a rest stop, slept in the front seats of the truck. BTW, you CAN'T get comfy on them. Thanks to Camp-N-Style, we had a trailer delivered to our final destination. This trailer had a Bed..............BTW, don't take your bed for granted. We were so grateful to have a horizontal bed. Our Dune family stepped up. We've always relied on ourselves for trips to Mother G, we needed help. Thanks to @ROBERT L @Stugots @SandTrap @RIDERED @Poule43 @FOG @YFZ4KT @Chummin and quite a few others that are not on the web-site. Our trailer had a water pump issue, it wanted to empty the water all over the floor of the trailer. We didn't call Camp-N-Style to get it fixed, we knew our friends would allow Mrs chEFF to shower in their rigs. They all cooked for us, let us hang in their rigs, and let me lead them thru the Dunes. EPIC trip for sure. Da chEFF took the Right Guard shower the entire time. Yes, it was RANK! "NO ONE," and I mean "NO ONE" wanted to give Da chEFF a hug goodbye Monday morning. Got back on the road, another 22 hr drive ahead of us, We pulled off just outside Tucson and got a Hotel Room. Don't take your Shower for Granted either, the greatest shower I ever took. Mrs chEFF gave me a hug and allowed me to sleep with her. Life was good.  Ate at a restaurant. Yes, a Mexican restaurant. I tore into that bowl of chips and salsa when they dropped on the table. Jalapeno Margarita, chicken fajitas.......Don't take them for granted either. I could tell The waiter was looking at me like have you ever been in a public restaurant before? He has no idea where I just came from. Went back to the hotel and parked the truck / trailer below the window of our room. Saw a few Illegal Immigrants? walking around outside. Needless to say, Da chEFF didn't sleep well that night. Kept getting up looking down at the rig hoping nothing was happening. Had a plan if something was happening but, it involved a small hole in a broken hotel window and some injured people on the ground. Decided at 3:00am lets get on the road. Made it to Monahans, TX. Got a hotel room. This room had a better shower, better bed, better pillows and a Bennigans 2 blocks away! When was the last time you ate at a Bennigans? Went and had a great dinner, cold beer and another great shower. Slept great that night. Woke up and had the best Continental Breakfast ever. Don't take them for granted either. Nothing like scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and a glass of Orange Juice! Six (6) Hours out, we got this made!  Got back last night, slept in our own bed, showered in our own shower and watched our own TV. YES, The Dream Home is THAT GOOD!! Can't wait for the next trip. Hope I didn't carry on too long like the Veterans Day Opening Ceremony Guy! HAHA @HozayKwarvo, we wouldn't miss it for the world. Y'ALL post your trips. Love to read them! Peace

Good Times for sure. Well maybe not that great for @SandTrap.

Glad you guys didn't give up when the motor home started being a jerk. Can't wait for the next time I get to see Mrs ChEFF.

This trip hasn't ended. Went to the Moho Fridge and noticed the batteries have died and the propane fridge stopped cooling. Of course, hindsight is 2020. Looking back in panic mode of "HOW" are we going to get on this trip, Da chEFF forgot to plug in the Moho. Batteries dead. Opened up the fridge......you can imagine what we saw / smelt! Gotta go unload some nasty food. And the Dream Home has PLENTY of 50 amp power. All you need to do is plug it in! DUH! Peace

dont take that for granted :peace:

Love your persistence.
Many people would have given up.
Always good to see the beautiful Sharon and enjoy your wake up calls from waaaaaaay across the campsite.

My trip for 2023 was Boyz Trip in March.  Was epic.

Can Am did great on stock tires, aired down and in 4wd.

Looks like next trip to G will be in March again.  So busy at work. Not complaining...

That’s some serious Glamis dedication right there. Good to see you in Vendors  ChEFF. Hope next trip is uneventful

Epic trip.  How did the new car do ?

First time on stock tires. Took some getting used to hearing the gears shifting. Decided to race everyone at Olds. Usually don't run the Hill but had to see what this bad boy had. Still have the visual of @ROBERT L waving goodbye. I can't get that out of my memory. HA! Car ran great. Peace

Was Awesome seeing you guys as usual and thank you CHEFF for putting on my socks and shoes on friday

Always a pleasure to catch up with you Cheff.

Love seeing y'all too @Mac. Your wife is much prettier. Just saying. I hear that a lot.

It's amazing what happens when you plug 50amps into a dead Moho. Instant Power. We're back up and running. Makes unloading a little easier. Peace
