Knock on wood have not needed it.  But read a few posts here and fb that Glamis 911 could take several hours, 24 hours and beyond to get to you.  What about other towing options?  I get it nobody wants to pull a SXS or even worse a V8 sand rail out due to damage to tranny.  But breaks happen, just wondering what you guys have used.

Usually just get it done, whatever it takes. I’ve called the snow-cat for a few folks I’ve come across that were effed though.

I bought the season pass from Glamis 911 last year.  Broke down late in the season and was going to have to wait 4 to 6 hours so I limped it out after some work.  They do not offer the full season except for weekends this year, so I am not going to buy it since I mostly ride mid week.  I carry a couple grand if I need to call the snow cat.  We will have a Pro-R in the camp this year which might be able to tow out a rail as long as it is still on all 4 wheels.  I do not tow anything out with my rail as Albins rebuilds are stupid expensive.

I’ve been pulled by a pro r it did amazing was about dark a my car died (ended up being a fuse) but was no problem for the rzr to pull me

I spoke with the Glamis 911 guys and they are not offering coverage this season due to equipment shortages.

They will still be on call but it’s now 500 per hour.

Last year we had to call for help. Had a car that had no front end left so there was no getting it out ourselves.  Took the guys with the tracked trucks hours to get to us, hours to get us out and over an hour to get it on the trailer.  If you don't have to use them I wouldn't but when you do it's the only game in town, We are not lucky enough to have a Matts Off-Road Recovery.

This year we have already been on to rescue missions and if the car is rolling we can usually find a way to get it out.

I would also like to say there is hope for our sport.

This last weekend we had to tow out of China Wall a broken RzR. As we all know that is not a easy place to get out of. Well we were struggling and we got the FUNCO buried deep. That was when this group stopped and jumped in to help us get the car out of the hole it was in.  They said that someone had helped them earlier in the day and were just paying it forward.

We got a hold of them last year, spent 2-3 hours just trying to figure out how to meet their " CC " machine guy running around on a quad. Had a heavy 4 seater xp turbo with cracked transmission case between lizard hill and northeast of the swing set. Long story short they got my friends car out but only after I chased after this quad dude from swing set to flagpole in my yxz after burning the clutch up trying to tow him out. They came out with the snow tracked truck and drug him to roadrunner where I meet them with a trailer to get back to wash 15.  Although they were very nice/friendly guys they seemed overwhelmed and not to experienced with dunning. The truck had a boom tow setup but they ended up dragging his car on its side for a bit not even realizing it. $1200 was the total I believe from the valley between swing set and flagpole to roadrunner.

I’ve helped and been helped in dunes and water. Been offered money I turn it down but I will take a couple beers.

I remember one night like 12 am coming back from olds saw a dim flashlight guy on quad trying to tow his buddy on quad but had trouble getting stuck often. I got tow strap out pulled him with buggy. I was headed to gecko think they were pad one said I’ll get them to sand hwy once there they had no problems. Only took maybe 10 min of my time but saved them hours.

a rzr with paddles can get a full size car out of anywhere in the dunes as long as you both can drive and there are still rolling wheels on the car being towed. might take a little bit getting it going but once its all rolling its not a problem. a axel or belt on a rzr is alot cheaper than a tow truck

Not to experienced with towing is an understatement.

On our fiasco once they got back into camp where the trailer was the driver who couldn't speak any English didn't understand how backing up worked.  Even the guy on the quad ended up yelling at him.  WE understood that he had to be moving in order to turn the wheels but he didn't understand the way the steering wheel worked

It wasn't until we manually pushed the car with 2X6's  around on the trailer to get it to fit and the guy went to set it down that we found out the boom could move to the left and right.

Totally agree by paying it forward.  I've stopped to help at times and last trip I was the one in need of getting out from getting stuck.  Shared beers with the good Sam, offered money but nope.  Ran into him at Dollar Bar and bought him a few more rounds.

Dave glad to hear Brian has a Pro R for our camp lmao!  See you Thursday night!

Im sure it can be googled but, does anyone have a full list on tow services and contact numbers?

If it is a rolling vehicle, I will tow it out no problem, just hang on, we are dunning.  In the old days, if it didn't roll, we fixed it out there so it could roll.  We would even stay all night out there.  But then again there were a lot less vehicles with front ends falling off in those days.

We had to tow 2 rails out last season with a 2 seat RZR 1000. Glamis recovery for anything that doesn't roll, they have been easy to work with and quick to respond. Thought about signing up for the 911 tow guys never did. I'll save my money since they aren't out there during the week.

Same here, I have a S4D, not going to break it towing, Same as Cookie hold on, i have clicked 4th gear towing, use 2-3 straps and when you get into 3rd-4th you can not even really feel a car back there,
