Generac Primepact 50g
I noticed my muffler on the genny just hanging down (cracked welds) this summer, I had done some minor repair over last season. The replacement exhaust for this generator is discontinued ($1200+) so I got some aftermarket stuff. Once it was all hooked up I wanted to run it, but the fuel was not priming, I tried a bunch of tyimes by hitting the start switch so the pump would run to no avail and then was able to blow the line clear (maybe) and was able to get it to prime (when the clacking gets quieter as the fuel enters the pump) pump runs for a few seconds each time you hit the start button. I thought ok good fuel is now to the pump and as I went to hit the start button on the genny itself to fire it up--nothing no click no crank no sound....same with the switch on the dash. I jumped the solenoid across and the starter started cranking..
Is it the solenoid or something else
Almost like it blew a fuse, The fuse on the control panel where the switch is checked out fine, wondering if it is the fuse holder itself???
Any ideas out there??
Thanks,
