Started life  as a base GEN4 - with a 2D 930s and 5.3 - larger engine cage bench seat - etc

Goal

I enjoy these threads! You going back with same color, or is it changing?

I like the idea of keeping it as close to a Gen 4 as possible.  Something different.  Those brown seats look really familiar.  Got plans for the 2D?  My son just bought an older Tatum Sand Demon with an 091.  Looking to upgrde after this season.

Thanks LRS-  and saw that story on IG -

The 2D sold soon after purchase for not nearly as much as they’re going for now

My buddy has a 2d for sale right now

Very nice and sensible redo- keeping the car open for visibility is great  - thanks for sharing the journey

Albins "H" is an interesting choice, can you share why?

The goal is to keep it true to Funco philosophy for a duning car that's meant to withstand anything thrown it's way - not a camp queen - I picked up the motor and trans as a package so it made sense to me to refurbish update as needed  - The Albins H is a super solid trans made for max abuse, and is in a more reasonable  :classic_blink: price range versus sequentials. These redos can easily and often turn into money pits - my intention on this build is focus on supplying mechanically what is necessary for "trouble-free" hard duning and a heavy foot driving - a 4 seat dune "track car"

Accessories and paint and panels go in and out of style -  R&D based revisions/engineering/solutions wont
