I need to replace the fuel pump in my Funco Gen 4 with a LS1. The pump currently on it is a Bosch 0 580 254 982 which is now discontinued. It has a 1/2” barb inlet and a 12mm outlet. Does anyone have a good part number for a replacement?

Bosch 044 is the common one used. It's what was in most of my cars when I got them and what you will find among many.

I have a used 044 that you can have for 50$ if you’re in corona. Worked great before I went with a bigger motor.

I had pretty much that same pump with the 1/2" barb on a car I just bought and needed to replace it. They do not have a bosch replacement for your pump. I needed new fuel filters anyways so I ended up going with the Fluidflow 044 replacement from Kartek and XRP port/pre filter with new fittings and lines. My car has a j32a1 for a motor.

They talked highly of the pump and the price point seemed worth a try. If there are any issues, they will take it back without question and replace it.

Here's how I ended up setting it up to give you a before and after. (don't mind the grueling sharp zip tie forest and rats nest of a wiring job, new car to me and is currently being addressed)

Not sure how much room you have. I don't have a funco and had plenty of room. If you want to keep your pre-filter set up, you can always just get a push lock fitting for the pump. Side note, don't put your hose clamps in the middle of the pump. They are not designed to be mounted that way. If you do that, it will cause excessive wear on the internals of the pump. Two hose clamps on the outer ends only.
