Fuel Pressure Sensor - Needed, or Tune Around it?

When I started reading the manual for the Holly Terminator it stated that the fuel pressure sensor is optional, and being the Holly sensor is somewhat pricey, I opted to not install one...From what I've read it can be tuned without the sensor, and it's a mixed opinion of if it's needed.  I do have a mechanical sensor so I know I have proper pressure.  

What have others done?  Is it worth putting on the EFI Fuel pressure sensor, or have the tuner tune without it? Dropping off my car Monday to be Dyno'd!

There are cheaper options available.  It's a 5v 100psi sensor.  Not rocket science...

Might save your bacon if something happens with your fuel pump. I’d run it.

It’s not needed to tune. Set your pressure with that one you have in there now.
