My '06 BFD car has what I will call the 1st gen long travel A-arms. I notice all of the newer and higher end cars have a more conventional A-arm. What was the reason for this change? Was it for strength or handling? Maybe both.
My car had both lower arms bent when I bought it. The seller paid for BFD to build new ones and they bent after a minor hit. Not sure what the material used on the new arms was but was not super pleased with the build quality. I am wondering if I should just rebuild the arms from 4130 and gusset or convert to the newer style. My friend has an extreme eco II car and has never bent his but did crack one years ago.
