Looking to purchase something that uses the foam and plastic for shipping.  We are shipping a fair amount of heavy items that just don't do well with packing peanuts, cardboard etc.

Anyone use these foam supplies and have any feedback for a first time buyer? Do's/Don't etc.

TIA

Erik

i have seen this in a couple shops now that ship heavy parts.  I know nothing about it though.

I've seen similar handheld units where you just spray the foam in the bag, and roll opening closed.

we use the instapack quite a bit.  see video below.  all of our boxes are one of 3 boxes & we pick the instapak according to th

e box & the part.  its quite consistent.

we looked into the machine that @megadesertdiesel showed, but we just dont do enough oddball stuff to warrant that.  also there is a bit of art to it & it takes a bit of getting used to, but once you are good @ it, you can do some stuff to get around odd shapes & strange sized boxes.

its only good up to a certain weight, so check that out & if there are sharp edges it can rip the instapak & that crap gets everywhere.  its frustrating for the customer to clean up that mess.  we like the stuff WAY better than peanuts, but sometimes we use both, depending on what we are doing.
