My clutch started slipping pretty bad at the end of the week - and I'm going to go from a stage 2 dual disc to a stage 3 dual disc - but am unsure if I should also resurface my flywheel?  I haven't taken it apart yet to see how good / bad it is...but am wanting to prepare for the worst...

Questions - when is good practice to resurface your flywheel? (my current flywheel is only 1 season old)

Can it even be done with them (Kennedy flywheel)?

Who in San Diego would you trust to resurface?

Send everything to Kennedy.

They will measure everything and make it good as new.

Always resurface your flywheel. And the depth from the top pressure plate mounting surface to the clutch surface must be correct. Kennedy has that spec. The other thing to be aware of is proper resurfacing of the flywheel make sure they don't run the stone into the lip that indexes the outer edge of the pressure plate. I have balanced 100s of units and even a few thousanths removed can cause a vibration. The pressure plate must index without movement. If that lip is kissed you must re-balance the assembly with correct indexing of the pp. Some units are indexed with dowel or roll pins vs the lip.

x2 on sending it to Kennedy. They might be able to upgrade your existing setup as well.
