So a while back if i recall these guys were board sponsors. At least they’d advertise on here. There was an auction that was supposed to close today at 10 am. To my surprise about 20 minutes before auction close; fischer added 2+ days to the auction. Wtf. I was winning bid on about 6 auction lots.
i called fischer and they said they have legal issues they need to sort out, i feel this stuff should be sorted out BEFORE auction starts.

so now, items have already gone up 60-100$ more than they were at when it was supposed to close. This costs me money! How is this legal? Its definitely not ethical. If i suddenly decide i dont want to participate anymore i have to pay a fine. why do i have to follow the rules and they can change the rules as they go.

STAY AWAY FROM FISCHER AUCTIONS

I bid on a house on auction.com only to see the same thing happen. The auction was increased on the closing day by 24 hours. Sorry bud. It sucks but we only have 2 options. Play their game or leave.

If i leave i have to pay 100$ fine per bidding lot. Which is 700$

So can't you stop bidding on the lots?

Lose the bid, keep the money....a higher bidder will win and pay their fees.

Right?

Aside from losing out on being the lead....but yeah, shady auction tactics.

I have reserves that must  be met.

example i bid 30$ with a 200$ reserve on an item. Was supposed to close an hr ago when winning bid was 40$, by friday could  be 200$ so i pay 200$ instead of the 40$ i should have legally won it at.

i would happily pay up to my reserve given original rules and dates. The second you get sleazy and dishonest now you’ve not only committed fraud, but based on principal i no longer wish to do business with you.

principals are everything in life. Fischer auctions clearly has none or they would keep their word

Two items have gone up 100$ each since time was supposed to close. Even if i still win them; i should have gotten them for 100$ cheaper each. They probably saw low prices with a bunch of reserves not met and decided to squeeze more money from bidders

eff fischer auctions

They changed the terms that you agreed to and confirmed those changes during your call (would have been better to email for the paper trail), I'd fight that fine.

I want the tools i should have gotten at a smoking price!

I always assumed those "auction houses" are scams and middle men for certain buyers and vendors.

I don’t get it. If you bid $30 and reserve is $200. You didn’t win the bid. I don’t remember on their online auction site there being a spot to click for

“win the bid no matter the cost. “

They extended bidding two more days. So items i should have won for 30$ at time of close have gone beyond by 50-100$. I cant quit or be fined, and my reserve is 200$ so i have to pay up to my reserve until auction end.

prices go up 100$ (all did) x 8 items thats 800$ additional +15% plus tax (+190$ so 990$ more)

Its my reserve meaning i auto bid up to 200$

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from fisher and never had that problem.  But I’m one of those people that likes to watch and bid live.   In person was always better because you could try and read people of what they wanted to spend and go over $50. That does sound fishy of you getting the winning bid then it kicking you up to reserve bid.  Most if the time they will call you and ask the reserve is not met would you like to go to $xxx or what’s your maximum.

I know on live bidding they extend the closing time when people start bidding at end of auction to try and get around people that don’t watch and didn’t set a Max bid.  Them auto bid comes in every minute then it goes up like $25.

All bidding happened after auction was supposed to close.
moot at this point the whole auction was cancelled. I’ve bought from fischer auctions before. Previous times were fine.

there is no reason to add time to a scheduled auction that happened over a month other than to try to squeeze more money. Its dishonest and i wont do business with dishonest people

100%, agreement is void, if they reserve the right to make changes you have that right as well.

So in the end they canceled the auction completely? That's greasy....
