Half these bozo's still have hair like that.....My Bug had almost that same paint job, with different colors...
 
By late 82 ,2nd street was just about done. El Cajon PD had their curfew squad that would show up and run everyone out.

My Dad's friend was an El Cajon cop and the one thing I did not want to do was run into him. 10pm and they would clear out Parkway Bowl and Pinball Palace, then it was over to 2nd street after that it was all the keg parties. Same group of about 12 cops.
 
Remember riding shotgun in my Dad's 302 Z28 many nights...
 
You fux are old lol I was 5. Although I did own a 1978 Fiat X 1/9 in White when I was 13 LOL coolest car ever except the wheels kept flying off from the stupid cross threaded inverted lug nuts 😆 damn Italians!
 
I graduated Granite Hills in 1994. Never hung out with gear heads but I remember crowds of cars at the Pizza Hut/Firestone parking lot on 2nd st.
Cruising was all dead by then as far as I know.
