What the hell is with people listing a car for sale and then never responding to your messages? This isn’t cars that were listed months ago. this is less than a week on the market. Messaged 10 people and got 1 to answer. Proceeding to tell me the car needed some work that he left out the listing.
Daughter needs a car after totaling hers about a week ago.

It’s not just cars. I’ve been trying to buy several thing and rarely ever get people that respond to my questions. Then also there is the frustration of selling. I have several things listed and get nothing but “is this still available” and when I reply yes, never get another message. Marketplace is almost worthless and it’s the only reason I have Facebook.

I just scored this on marketplace. No games, just deal. Lived nearby, asked $150 paid $150 because I felt it was worth it.

Edited to add: crap! LOL you said cars! Whole notha ball game.

I see the frustration on both sides. After having multiple people from far away say they are enroute to buy only to never hear from them again it makes it difficult to answer endless questions from the next non local buyer. Having cash in hand to buy from people are to busy to sell makes you wonder if there is a better place to look for used things or if that is just our society.

People are straight up dumb.  Searching now for stuff and no even mentions location, condition or what vehicle they're for.

Ads are FREE and unlimited.   Almost no information and 1 or 2 pictures.

Don't respond to those. That is a phishing ploy. Once you reply they now have your email address and are sold to advertisers

I always have about 160 active ads on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. It is such a royal pain in the ass. So many inquiries and you never hear again from them. That's what it takes to weed through the idiots. Good example I have a turbo charger listed. Can't tell you how many people have asked what it will fit. Or people simply don't read your ad and ask stupid questions. I don't even respond. Buying is just about as bad. I figure if they don't respond they don't want to sell their item. And then of course the scammers. They certainly can get creative.

My friend might have a mk4 tdi for sale 40-50mpg combined but manual if interested. He was a vw diesel tech too so everything is always top notch before he sells

Finally got a guy to respond back. Ended up getting a 2015 Kia Optima for her. Nice car. Kept in good shape. Told me it had a k&n intake but never had an issue passing smog. Sure as chit. Didn’t pass smog when I took it. Luckily, he gave me the original intake and I put it back on. Taking it to get certified tomorrow.

Awesome man.

Aftermarket air filter stuff doesn't pass anymore, then your ARB Legal sticker falls off and now yore really effed.

This happened to my '03 Silverado, Cold Air Intake went right into the trash can and the OEM Filter right back on, with New Filter obviously

I'm sooo over anything modified from OEM.

I been looking for a cheap, decent mileage Toyota Taco or Ford Ranger truck and its been a nightmare on FB MP and OU just to get a reply, let alone any information when asked.
