Thinking about doing a Dailey dry sump on a new motor. Can I add an extra stage to the pump and circulate trans oil with it? Is this even a good idea?

Would this mean the oil is circulating all the time?

all the time the motor is running.  IIRC @Sean@Weddle suggested an electric so you can have it off until the oil gets to some temp..

If the motor is turning the pump, the only bad part is having a smaller dyno number. Won't hurt the trans any.

Would have to talk to pump manufactures to get their opinion on drawing cold, thick gear oil through their pumps, that could possibly cause issues on the pumps themselves.

The only reason why we wait until trans oil come to temp for an electric motor is that cold, thick oil is hard on the electric pump motors.

Would the pump be happy pumping something waaay thicker than motor oil?
