Does anyone know the amp rating of the fuse for Harvey’s EPS?

Thank you!I used a 60 amp for my Saturn Vue EPS unit.
8awg isn’t enough for 80a of load.I ended up buying this as I wanted brand new wires as I am rewiring the whole car. They also recommended an 80amp breaker to go with it.

These use OEM-quality connectors sourced from one of the largest OEM suppliers. The wire is automotive-grade GXL insulated wire rated for under hood use. All wire connections are crimped. All our products are assembled by hand in the United States.www.ebay.com
60A should be good as well. Either way: smart move. Wire as a fuse sucks.According to this video the amp draw is way less. I am going to use a lower rated breaker. I am thinking around 50Amp. Looks like it hits close to 40amps at full lock which I think I am very rarely at.
Well... I was assuming that 80a was not a real world situation the entire ride and as we say in the Audio Industry... "When Lightning Strikes"... so my chart was adequate.Chassis ampacity is slightly more forgiving because they know you're only running it a dozen feet or so:

Although, it's enough if the run is 4' or less based on resistance calcs. Marginal, but enough. Things will be warm.
Yeah. With audio you're trying to avoid ANY voltage drop whenever possible since that screws with sound quality.Well... I was assuming that 80a was not a real world situation the entire ride and as we say in the Audio Industry... "When Lightning Strikes"... so my chart was adequate.![]()
I was agreeing with you in that my chart showed (without showing it) that 4AWG was the preferred size (minimum) in the 80 amp arena... I just didn't spell it out clearly.Yeah. With audio you're trying to avoid ANY voltage drop whenever possible since that screws with sound quality.
With an electric motor, voltage drop is the name of the game, it just gets hotter for a split second. Either way, I wouldn't put an 80A fuse on 6AWG connections and terminals. Too close to marginal.
