EPA snub

Going to have to "shush!" the EPA for a bit while they bring coal fired power generating plants back on line to charge all those electric cars 'they' want us to drive. THEN AGAIN, GM delivered 26 EV's in 4th qtr '21  Cant find any 'data points' to say how many were sold in '22 so far.  Friend of mine says Ford is Mandated by gov to build 600,000 EV's in the next few years.  They only sold 27,000 E- mustangs last year. (and I think they had a recall for all of 'em.)  To me, they look like a Mustang with down syndrome. OR like every other "sport crossover"....  I don't understand why Electric cars made by GM and Ford and most other independent brands, have to look like DORK mobiles.  At least Teslas look like a nice sedan.

EPA is the cancer of Off Road Recreation.

Look what its doing to OHV's sold in CA?

It's amazing to me that we've allowed these agencies to become more powerful than our government officials.

If they're going to hold that much power they need to be voted in by the people.
When people speak of the "swamp", most use that term to describe politicians, which of course they are swamp creatures. But as you said, the alphabet agencies is where the power really is and is what I think of when the swamp is mentioned. They are the ones destroying our country.

IMHO, Obama was probably the most sucessful in populating the bureaucracies with his allies, progressive ideologs. Draining the swamp is next to impossible IMO.

Yep.  Used to be the brightest slimeballs interned to become Congressmen, Senators, whatever.  Now, the brightest slimeballs work up the GS ladder to become SES, retire, then get a VERY comfortable job at one of the contractors they propped up for 20 years.

Which is also why we haven't had jackshit for real candidates for President, and instead the leftover oldsters who got into politics before this trend started.

CARB is the cancer you guys need to worry about.  It's literally separating you from goods sold in the rest of the US.  You should read the small engine legislation that is in place.  VERY soon you will no longer be able to buy any gas lawn equipment, or small engine powered equipment.  Shortly after that, no gas generators sold into Cali.

It's come to a point where your chit state fined Honda so much they quit certifying engines to be sold in to Cali.  Then, quit building the small engines altogether.  We had to redesign a small gas powered walk behind machine to use a Briggs after Honda told Cali to F off.  Now, we only sell 49 state..

This is what the lawsuit I linked is all about.

And this is not limited to CA any longer.  most folks dont make 49 state stuff any longer.  it all complies with CA Standards because so many states adopt/adopted  the CA standards.  This will bleed over into other states @ some point.

They don't care... just like with gun laws...they will enforce it and it will take 10-20 years for the courts to fix it.... its their new playbook.

Most companies sell an item that is CARB approved.  Therefore, it is sold in 50 states.  In the next couple years when the deep BS CARB stuff takes effect you will see more and more 49 state items.  It's already happening in many sectors.

Do you really think the rest of the country is going to jump off the "no gas generator" cliff?  No gas powered lawn equipment?  Fuk no....

yes I do.  Maryland, Mass, NY, a bunch of those liberal run states are already on board with the automotive smog ball crush and have been since the early 2000's.  its just a matter of time and political pull.  Im not talking about aftermarket parts, Im talking about OEM stuff like cars, mowers, power washers, ....  household & industrial equipment, etc.  When it was CA & 49 state, it was easy, now a bunch of states are specifying their own flavor so they build worse case scenario & everyone gets it.

Wait until NewScum gets in DC.............. then its on like Donkey Kong.  these agencies will comply with the Whitehouse or get their funding cut to nothing and/or get fired.

& IMO, ........... the EPA and the "financial investment groups" will destroy the aftermarket hot rod industry, one regulation/profit margin @ a time.  in 20 years, there will be no significant market....

Liberal sht holes can ban all they want.  Manufacturers will just sell to EVERYONE else.  As my previous post stated, its' already happening.  We buy a 49 state engine.

Will it happen on an automotive level?  Not likely.  CARB isn't the driving factor there.  Fuel efficiency and power are.  SAE mandates that.

Honda, the broadest engine manufacture in the world is already telling Cali to suck it.

Do you think for a fraction of a second California's commie sister Oregon will ban small gas engines? F no they wont.  The logging industry is hard enough.  Do you really think they would consider a POS battery powered chainsaw? Not just not, but F*** NO!   Is Florida going battery powered mowers only?  Nope.

Blue sht holes will just market themselves out of products again.

If I were Elon I would put a 49 state sticker under the hood of every car they make.  Just to scramble the few collective brain cells the clowns at CARB have.
