I’m looking at buying a dump trailer and wondering if anyone has any recommendations on brands? I have looked at Big Tex, PJ, sky trailers, Diamond C and a couple others. Right now the Diamond C LPD is the front runner. Looking for: bumper pull 12’ or 14’ long, scissor style lift, 7k double axles. Anybody have any input or recommendations? I’m leaning towards the diamond C from complete trailers in Oceanside.

I have had multiple pj trailers, and have been very happy with them. The best dump trailer on the market in my experience. It's nice having both, the rear gate that opens like a dump truck tailgate, (with chains to control flow) and double swing doors. Haven't seen that feature on other brands.  plus the whole thing is powder coated from the factory. Good luck in your search

My buddy bought one of the cheap ones on Craigslist. Got it all loaded up and to the dump the pos couldn’t lift the load. If you plan on keeping it I’d for sure look at the bigger names. I’ve had a Diamond C & PJ regular trailers and both were good quality.

I personally have been impressed with the heavier rated Carson trailers.

Whatever brand you go with, make sure it’s a scissor type lift unit, not direct application

Thanks guys. Ended up getting this one. Appears to be very well built. I pick it up Friday, so we’ll see how she tows and works.

Nice. How much I’m trying to convince our company that we need one for all of the little jobs we’ve been doing.

Wasn’t cheap. Came out to just a shade under $16k after tax/license. Might have have to rent it out when I’m not using it to help pay for it. Any takers?? 🤣

Thanks that’s about what I was thinking on the price.

Diamond C aren't inexpensive trailers but they're well built units. Nice rig!

Nice the PJ we bought was 14x7 with 7200lb axles and 16" tires.  cost just about 15k three years ago.

I laughed a little too! If my poor car trailer could talk of the mistreatments from loan outs to so called friends!  Looks like a nice trailer, congratulations!
