Drag racing insanity....

This is the car I used to work on.  We used to have a 903 CI nitrous/clutch motor in it.  It ran 200 mph at the quarter at low 6s. 

With the 450" turbo/converter  combination They just ran 222 mph at the 8th at 2740 lbs.  Which is a good 300+ lbs more than what we were at.  The power these motors make is just insane......

My bosss use to do psca and at the Vegas nationals there were some fast turbo cars small inch engines this was in line 2007 too.

its wild what some people are doing in drag racing these days.  Cleetus ran a 1/4 mile time of 6.54 at 221 in the elco yesterday in gainsville at FL2K on a 275 drag radial.

no doubt.  the things that are being done with EFI, traction control & well............... 3000 HP........  LOL.
