Looking for a pair of Deka 34/78 AGM batteries (9A78DT to be specific). Anyone have a dealer they recommend in SD? I usually get the Super Start Platinums from O'Reilly's but they have been on forever backorder so looking at other options, including the Napa Legend too. (the Deka, the Napa Legend and the SS Platinum are all the same battery from East Penn, SS just offers the best warranty of the 3)

Thanks

BatteriesPlus sells some East Penn/Deka labeled as Duracell. Sam's might, also.

Fwiw i had deka’s in my excursion and they barely lasted 2 years. Having much better luck with walmart maxx batteries.

I got the deka’s from east county diesel. Bring a bottle of lube, nothing is cheap from east county diesel

I sold Exide way back when I was a Deere dealer, and they were pretty good, but more recently in the powersports business we sold thousands of Deka batteries, and their failure rate was amazingly low. Made in USA, too.  East Penn has an on/off relationship with Wally World, but some of their batteries have been East Penn/Deka.

Must be an issue with East Penn then as all the Sam's around here are out of them as well. I'll keep an eye out if they come back in stock.

Huh weird. I've had really good luck with the SS version. Hell the one in the ol ZJ lasted 7 years and it sits A LOT. Finally replaced it end of last year with another one.

I have access to Exide batteries through one of our venders but they're a bit more expensive so I haven't hit the checkout button on them yet.
