I love to fabricate and play in the shop. Sold my last sand rail and said "I'm done!
Well, maybe not. When I had my car seems I worked on many different rails, from motor changes to suspension builds, a new project, something to play with. So now thinking of buying another to build and tinker with. We shall see as several have presented themselves.

Even if you don't run it long, it'll still be worth something in the end. Gotta do something in retirement to keep the noodle going. Only so much Jeopardy! and Matlock one can watch... 🤣

Do it.
You can fix something and someone can enjoy it later, might even be you.

Glad your still in the game.

Sheesh.

What a tease! 😜

What is worse is when your wife walks out into the garage and see's the empty space, so she starts filling it with her crap. Once that crap takes hold it is impossible to remove.

Don't let that happen @Richard h Peace

I know you pretty well and I think that you are happiest when you have a sandrail to work on. I think it’s a quality of life issue. Your happiness depends on it. Just do it!!!
If you need me to write a prescription for it to show it to your wife, I would be happy to do that for you. lol

I require walkways around all vehicles in the garage. My wife feels this is unnecessary, so things often get tossed in the middle of these walkways. Sometimes, I think she opens the door and throws it into the garage without looking at all.

It's like some of them come pre-wired that way.

I may have found a fix for that though. When you clean the garage anything you don't know where it goes, goes where she parks her car. I have a trash can next to my toolbox so anything that gets left on top of my toolbox or in front of it, must have missed the trash can.

Last spring I went to Home Depot and got clear totes for all of the boxes of decorations, yes, she decorates for each holiday and season. I told her everything has a place If it doesn't fit in a tote it can go in front of the toolbox. This did not work as planned, now I have another shelf worth of clear totes.

I think your wife is the mom to my kids...open door, toss item 2 feet in and shut door.

Boggles my mind!
