This is going to make music have even less of a value, Its going to take some time to figure out how the Industry will monetize it but as of now.

Your buddy who created this gets no publishing, no performance no royalties of any kind. So write away make a number one song and get paid nothing. It could even end up costing him money if one of the larger music groups ( Like UMG) decide that you stole from them to create a song in the style of one of their artists. Might not seem like a big deal until your Youtube starts getting demonetized or Copyright strikes start popping off and you have to get a lawyer to continue to play your AI band.

For me it is kind of scary, but I need to start to embrace it.
In my line of work (Custom Environmental/Experiential and Exhibit Design, it is getting used more often and some the things are mind boggling!
But to me, it's like with this video from RDP, now anyone can be a song writer/video creator???
My uncle is a song writer/musician/producer. I have seen him with a scratch pad and pencil writing lyrics and cross stuff off, hum...get his guitar and spend hours, fine tuning a song he just created.
This video/song done in mere seconds to me is a dis-service to those that can conjure up stuff in their head and make it something unique!
