After the Supreme Court shot down the vaccine mandate last week, we are starting to see where companies really stand on things.

Chase Morgan is requiring vaccines.  Carhartt is requiring vaccines (kind of surprised at this one).  Who else?

BUT...here is one that totally took me by surprise.  Starbuck is NOT requiring vaccines.

Probably because 100% of their lib filled employee base is already jab'd.

You are better off not knowing which companies are mandating and those that aren't, because there is no way around not using their products.  I would bet 95% of Footwear companies are requiring the vaccine.  Most large clothing brands are as well.  Just not something I use brain cells on anymore.

SUBJECT: OSHA Standard/ Mandate ‐ Update

As was communicated to employees in November 2021, the US Occupational Safety and Health

Administration (OSHA) issued an Emergency Temporary Standard regarding COVID‐19 Vaccinations

and Testing requirements. Later that month a Federal appellate court stayed the enforcement of the

Standard pending further review. As of late December 2021, that stay was lifted, and OSHA released

new deadlines for adherence to the Standard. The new deadlines and details are below.

The OSHA Standard requires employers with 100 or more employees, like our company, to implement a

COVID‐19 vaccination mandate or, if an employer chooses, test unvaccinated employees weekly in

lieu of vaccination. Key dates follow:

* January 10, 2022 – Our Company must have a tracking program in place to confirm vaccination

               status of employees.

* February 9, 2022 – Deadline for weekly testing program for unvaccinated employees to

                 be in place.

While Our Company has and continues to encourage voluntary COVID‐19 vaccination efforts we will allow

employees the flexibility for weekly testing. Testing will be conducted at the employee’s cost, subject

to applicable legal requirements. Details regarding the testing program, requirements and estimated

out of pocket employee costs will be sent out at a later date but are expected to be between $15‐$50

per week.

Regarding the January 10, 2022 deadline for a tracking program to be in place, we have been working

on this requirement since the original Standard was issued in November 2021 and are in compliance.

If you are vaccinated and have not provided proof of vaccination to your local HR please do so ASAP.

Please also provide booster information if you have it.

If you have not been vaccinated, we encourage you to consider doing so prior to the February 9, 2022

testing deadline. To be exempt from the weekly testing you must be fully vaccinated (1 or 2

vaccinations depending on supplier) prior to the February 9th deadline.

this was sent out by our HR Dept, just prior to the Supreme Court releasing their statement (the same day, just hours before).

I asked our local HR what the SC decision meant with regards to us & she said "not sure yet".   The whole thing is frustrating, and every day this goes on it gets worse.

I'm a bit of an odd ball on this.  People who know me, know I have learned to live without a lot of stuff in life because I don't want to fund things I don't believe in or agree with.  It doesn't always work out but for the most part, I'm able to live without or find replacements.

I know the general consensus here is Starbucks can suck a big, fat one.  When I was getting my MBA, I did a lot of projects on Starbucks.  I can say I'm impressed with their initiatives and they put their money where their mouth is.  Where they lost me was their blind support for BLM and the whole Floyd bulls*t.

^^^ In most cases I agree with you.  For example, Camelback came out against Dirt bikes and off roading 12-15 years ago.  Their decisiveness in this spurred Fox and other companies to make Hydration packs.  To this day, I will not support their company even though they have change their stance.............but for the most part the only reason I haven't used their products is due to the fact it was convenient to stop using them (there was other options easily available).  Which goes back to my original thought on boycotting (Carhart example), it is easy to boycott if there aren't other options.

This is from the hip, these clothing companies have mandates:

Levis

Di ckies

Vans

Columbia

Wolverine (all brands)

Wrangler

This is what I know of, I sure the list is very long.  Then you get into each of these suppliers, contractors, and maybe even shippers............it never ends.  Sorry, way too much Brain cells used here 🤪

We can all agree Starbuck's is a liberal company, which make them backing off on this interesting.

Levis lost me when they came out in support of gun control.

Kind of surprised about D*ckies.  Oh well.

Wow....good find.

England is 80 percent vaxxed and cases have fallen dramatically over the last few weeks, so there is that.  Regarding the Biden mandate, I always figured they knew it would probably get thrown out by the SC, but did it to provide cover for large business who wanted to implement them anyway, which is why methinks most will keep them.

What exactly does the vax do at this point? Probably as much as masks.   Not much from most of the data,  Omnicron has taken over, vaxed or not, you get it and it's mild.  People that are at risk, are just that....at risk... no matter what they get they will be really sick.

Some are saying omnicron was sent out to stop delta and that you don't get delta after getting the cron..... we shall see. One thing we know is the GOVT is chit and they lie like a sumbitch when it suits them.....

I know a TON of folks who have gotten COVID in the last 3/4 weeks. Didn't matter if they had no shots or up to 3 shots. All had the EXACT same 3-4 day flu/cold. It's seasonal like the regular FLU (which kills a good bunch of folks every year).

Time to move on with our lives. .. it's over (COVID being a real threat).

North Face?

North Face?
yep, along with Patagonia, Nike, Adidas and virtually all the large shoe companies.  If I put more thought into it, I probably can come up with another 30 companies that we all wear daily.
