Hey there. I have some fairly new sand tires unlimited #2's. Is comp cutting the tires worth it? Anybody have a set can articulate the difference? thanks

I'm certainly not a tire expert, but the way I understand it, Comp cutting removes weight by taking more rubber off the tire between the paddles. This does 2 things. First it lightens the tire for competition. Reduction in the mass increases its ability to spin more quickly. Second it will make the scoop on the paddle a little talled allowing it to grab more sand. In my opinion it's not worth anything unless youre racing because the tires have so little rubber on the tire they will start showing cords with little run time.Hey there. So comp cut to take weight off tire, then add sealant in the tire…..You have seen in camp what happens with the other Pro R, he was putting air in his comp cuts every morning. Now he did put the sealant in it, so maybe it wont be an issue going forward, just have to see. You dont need to lighten those tires, just turn the boost up!
lets see that car pleaselight car / small motor it will make a big difference, heavy car big motor not so much
