http://www.coltontruckterminalgarage.com/ - Took great care and I highly recommend them!!!

Took our 2000 Country Coach to CT (Colton Truck - from here on out) for their chassis inspection. We already bought the rv but they do this for pre-purchase a lot. I wanted to have a good baseline early on and continue to keep good records like the original owner.

They check pretty much everything on/under the chassis and the generator. They don't do 'rv' things like slides, roof ac's, etc.

They found and fixed a few smalls, leaky diff bolt (dented), couple hose clamps weeping (tightened) hub fluid too full, engine oil 3 quarts low, inspected and adjusted the brakes, shocks, and a lot more.

Took the time to explain things to me that I was unfamiliar with. Answered questions and gave advice.

On the way up the AC compressor froze and spit the belt - the ac wasn't great before this, maybe it was going out. I'll have to bring it back for that fix. Parts have been ordered and appointment made. Hopefully the Ford AC (dash) will blow better once the new stuff is in.

Rich and his brother (didn't get his name) own the business. All the employees were great, helpful, polite and all seemed to like working there. Busy operation! Lots of RV's and a few semi trucks but every bay was full and some work going on outside.

Appointments ARE needed!!! About a month out at this point.

Just wanted to give them a shout out. Call them if you are buying a moho or have one that needs a good once over.

Now if I can find an RV place that is good with slides and all the other RV stuff!

Good call man. Curious what this service costs? Owned my 2001 for 6 years and haven't ever had all that stuff checked, other than regular services I do myself for fluids any filters.

$130 an hour - inspection, 3 hours is what I was quoted. I was there (waited) from 8-3. They do take a lunch break - everybody stops working!!!

I've heard all good too, my in-laws take their coach there for service from Redondo

Mine is there now getting the front end all rebuilt. Not cheap but I’m hoping their reputation is worth it.

Absolutely the best place to go for chassis repairs, front end work, seals, oil changes. They have always been fair and on time.
Reservations are a must.

Which one is yours? When did you drop it off?

Good to hear, it is hard to find people to work on Chassis.  I booked an appt a month out at Temecula RV for some work, bring it in for the appt and it will still take 2-3 weeks................super confused why I need to book an appt if you let it sit for 2 weeks before you start the job.  They quoted 3 hours for the job.............I like the idea of booking an appt and they get to work on it.

I've never understood that either. Couldn't run my business that way and survive. Just got back from looking at a clients car in Padadena. Totally worth my time to drive over, diagnose it, order parts then set up an appointment for him to drop it off. It's an 8-10 hour job, car shouldn't be here for more than a couple days.

I don’t understand that appointment approach either. Only thing I can rationalize is that’s how many RVs they can park. Still makes no sense to have your RV sit there for two weeks before even starting on it. And yet so many businesses run this way. Crappy communication, long wait times, shoddy work. Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer options out there. I’m convinced you can start almost any service type business and if you did nothing but answered the phone and promptly return calls you would likely have more business than you can handle. Yes, this is a bit tongue and cheek and no disrespect to you hard working business owners out there but man it seems like customer service is a thing of the past except the few rare exceptions.

Space is the key for me. I work out of my home shop so no room for a bunch of vehicles parked. Just found out today a S4 I pulled needs a new R&P and it could be a couple months. I'm stuck with an LS engine and the car. But I did put the car in my enclosed for now.

Dropped off my son's quad for some work and it was there for 6 weeks. Total bill was only $350. Super happy with the work and his communication during the process but hard to believe it was worth it for him being there for so long and only making a few hundred bucks.
