"Classifieds" and "for sale section"

what is the difference between them?  sometimes I see adds in the "for sale section" of the forum that points to the "classifieds"....

Well it’s simple. One category is for guys looking for tool polishers. The other is advertising tool polishers for sale. You were asking about craigslist, right?

Forum for sale can also be a discussion area.

Classified section is not for discussion.

Classifieds also have a pay per listing designed for the non members  where as the forum does not.

I always thought it was in bad taste to ask non-Sale specific questions in someones "for sale ad".  in a tech area, sure, but not in the section where someone was trying to sell something.

Well.......... I certainly dont want to kill anyone, so I will make a mental note to stay away from anything he is selling.  LOL.

Buy and Sell forums also act as place holders for people who put an add in the classifieds.  When you create a classified it will also create a topic in the buy sell forums letting users know there is a new classified ad.
