This buggy recently has gone through some serious fab work and money and I’m probably forgetting to mention it all. All 4130 lengthened rear, engine/trans 5 deg, raised sides, raised front frame and hood tubes to clear 16in travel, and engine/trans setback for 3x6 trailing arms. This buggy is very fast and handles desert whoops like a race car. A lot of time and money has gone into this build. This is the car for someone who’s very anal about quality, can appreciate quality fab work, and wants to rip.

oh I just realized the site wiped. I'm not new... So sorry my first post on the new site is a sales ad. lol Joined in 2010.

Solid looking Chenowth 4LWD, they keep going and going when done properly.

GLWTS

Love these cars. My first buggy was a 4lwd and now my close friend owns it up in colorado. Followed your build progress on instagram. Definitely some top not fabwork and major attention to the details. Someone will be getting a killer car. GLWTS

You ain't lying! The original plan was just mild suspension and built vw. Then it snow balled from there and ended going all out.

Welcome back, didn’t realize this was your build (saw the build elsewhere).

Good looking rail. Just to confirm, this has the 002 5 rib trans (one year only, 1975) Not a 6 rib 091?

How long since the shocks/bypass have been serviced?

Thanks,
Nate

5 ribs were used from 72-75.
It's just the 5 rib case. It has the 091 pinion and gear sets from weddle and 091 pinion bearings.

Seals were replaced about 3 years ago when I was doing shim and spring adjustments. Car was taken out maybe 4 times during that period.
