Canadians, eh? So the new MavR has the 10.25 inch display with integrated bluetooth and music controls and is setup for use with specific headsets. From BRPs website they recommend specific headsets:
BRP recommends the use of either a Vibe, Sena, Nolan or Cardo headset with the display. Only models from these headset manufacturers have been tested for full compatibility in terms of Bluetooth connection and functionality with the unit. However, other aftermarket headsets could be compatible.

Wondering if anyone ( @rivermobster ) has experience with these brands... in looking at them they typically have over the head headsets and/or bluetooth helmet mounted coms... I'm assuming these may be nice but would limit me car to car and digging through their actual website I see no means of adapting or using a keyed mic out into a VHF radio for car to car. The goal would be to utilize the integrated coms controls and functionality but have a mic output to the PTT into a VHF radio.

My guess is that the functionality included with the car is largely ignored for Glamis and CA helmet regs ... but wanted to toss it out there and see if anyone has played with this world or just skipped over it entirely, ignoring the BRP integrated utilities and just gone straight to the traditional Rugged/PCI comms.

Following. Went to mammoth with new R and definitely needs radios. Looking at pci unless brp has something better.

I really like the idea of using the integrated controls on steering and dash to deal with music, intercom, etc. but not seeing how to get the output of that into a VHF race radio... it would literally negate any need for a wired connection to the seats.

The only thing i have seen is the ability to use steering wheel as PTT button.

I would get PCI or Rugged. Anything BRP would come up with will not be better.

Not comparing anything BRP to PCI/Rugged... looking to use their built in intercom functionality that works with several bluetooth MFRs to interface that system into a VHF radio. 🤘

From ChatGPT...

There are several versions of Bluetooth technology currently in use, each with different capabilities and optimizations. The main versions in use include:

1. Bluetooth 1.x – Mostly obsolete but some older devices may still use it.

2. Bluetooth 2.x – Introduced improvements such as Enhanced Data Rate (EDR).

3. Bluetooth 3.x – Added support for faster data transfer via Wi-Fi (HS, High-Speed), but rarely used now.

4. Bluetooth 4.x – Introduced Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), improving power consumption. Versions include 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2.

5. Bluetooth 5.x – Expanded on BLE, offering increased range, speed, and broadcast messaging capacity. Versions include 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3.

6. Bluetooth 5.4 – The latest version, introduced in early 2023, optimized for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, providing enhanced broadcasting capacity and energy efficiency.

Most modern devices use versions 4.x and 5.x, with Bluetooth 5.x being the most prevalent today due to its advancements in range, speed, and efficiency.

I took a quick look at the brands you listed, and didn't see where they disclosed what Bluetooth version they are using!

If you can figure that out, any other product, using that same version...

Should be a compatable product.

you/we need a technical manual to figure out if there are any audio outputs from the CanAm system.
Then you'd just need a device to wire that to a UHF/VHF radio.
