Best to replace tube. I just did one of these on a car.

See Sand Rail Repair Oct 2022 in sandrail tech.

Silicone, paint over it, sell the car as is, or spend 3k on an alumn body, retitle it as a desert dynamics and ask $120k for it.

im with everyone else. Anything beyond replacing the parent tube is throwing good $$$ at bad parts

i bet that cake decorator guy who slaps the same aluminum body on everything could do it.

So, after cutting loose right end and 3 braces, the right side of tube fell out. Broken 360 degrees on inside of trailing arm mount.

Left side was the same, broken 360 at center area. Cut tube at the outer area and it fell out.

Ask, why did they build these with 095 tubing? Both this car and the last one were 095 wall. Major stress area and I would have thought people would use heavier material. Maybe with more gusseting to help spread the load it would live. There will be plenty of it when I'm done. Plus going 120 wall tube. Heck when I had to modify mine, I use 2.25, 250 wall. Never had an issue either.

Lookin good!  I would weld on reinforcements to each trailing arm tab and weld on corner braces
