Last season I added a new rear brake kit to my car and used a permatex thread sealant on all the fittings. I noticed that all of the fittings are leaking. I am going to pull the calipers off and reseal everything but wanted to see what everyone was using to seal the threads?

Really shouldn’t use tape or anything on brake fittings. You can use a little Teflon paste on the fitting that screws into caliper but that’s about it. If lines are leaking the flair on the lines might not be right.

I should have clarified on my first post but it’s actually all the fitting that screw into the caliper itself such as the bleeders at the top and the plugs on the bottom of the caliper.

The bleeder screws usually don't use anything on them, they are flare fitting on mine?

Bleeder screw doesn't get any sealant at all.

Its actually leaking from the Larger fitting that the bleeder screw sits in. Going to clean them up and use some PTFE Sealant with it.
