Best place to buy Milwaukee tools

Im looking to buy a few of their more specialized tools. I’ve been buying off the shelf at home depot; i gotta think there may be a better priced distributer that will not void warranty

looking to get some m12 grinders. They are 200$ tool only at home depot; i see them online at random places much cheaper but from what i’ve read these are often fakes, remans or problem tools that didnt pass QC and wont be warrantied by milwaukee.

It looks like a big sale online for Milwaukee tools right now at Home depot. :dunno:

The two im looking for are not included. Their “special buy” is actually same as every day price ($199) the m12 batteries are a pretty good deal. Will probably get those and just bite the bullet and pay full price for the tools

Just ordered one of them on amazon $144. Seller claims “new not refurbished with 5 year warranty”. We’ll see. Been having issues with fakes lately. We order alot of 3m sanding disks and scotch brites and often get chinese fakes. They are usually pretty easy to spot

The shrimp ramen smell exploding out of the package when you open it is generally my first indicator...

Is this thread still alive? Black Friday at Home Depot has a few pretty rad deals. Needed some fresh batteries myself (only have 7y/o batts they are getting a little tired) and getting the saw for FIL. 52% and 57% off on these ones

I've got one of these Milwaukee 1" cordless guns in the semi. It was $1200 and it's already paid for itself with a couple roadside flats. I can't believe what a bad mother effer it is. It'll do all 10 tires on the truck with one 12.0ah battery and it came with 2. It's every bit as good as a pneumatic gun but without the need for air. Screenshot_20221125-113735__01.jpg

I went looking for a hole hawg right angle drill for work.  Wanted a corded one so we could drill out wood studs and not have to worry about batteries.

First thing I found out was finding a corded tool is not easy, second I could get a cordless one for around the same price. Minus battery's of course.

Ended up talking to a friend who is a plumber and he has a cordless hole hawg right angle drill and he can do two houses with one battery.  Should of went cordless but that would mean tarting a 18 volt collection to go along with my 12 volt one.

I have one. Friend gave it to me. Never drained a battery on it. Its great for on car work

Try toolguyd.com for notifications on blanket 10-15% off sales at some of the specialty sites like ToolNut or Acme or CPO - Home Depot has some great flash deals on common tools if you're willing to price out and wait, but for the specialty stuff that never seems to go on sale I find I can at least do a little better than retail.

Did you buy the grinder? $200 for a tool and 2 batteries is bonkers.

Using the crap out of these 3 tools. Rarely reach for the airtools now

really like the 90* the straight m12 has an overload sensor thats a little on the conservative side. The m18 is a powerhouse

How do we spot the fakes? I see so many Milwaukee tools on offer up for good deals I’m always tempted to buy from them but don’t want to get ripped

Do not try and save money with the off brand battery's.  I made that mistake they didn't last long at all before they would not charge.

There's an actual Millwaukee store in San Diego that you can bring tools for warranty repair...5 year warranty, and they will ship it back to your house for free once fixed.

I had to drop off a drill last week...not sure I'd use it to buy gear, but I was impresed how easy it was to get a repair. Serial number check and your contact info, no proof of purchase needed, etc.

I have a circular saw that has an issue with its overload cutoff. Had it for a few years but have only used it a few times. Would love to fix vs throw away
