Has anyone here converted their platform lift into a belly lift? any details, write up or photos available? tips / tricks?

My 20' stacker currently has a platform lift, and I would like to convert it to a belly lift in order to get a full size SxS up top, and keep the sandcar down below.

current lift setup, can get some better pics... these were already on the computer

looks like it would be a lot of work relocating all the pulleys and cable on the one side of your current lift to the middle.

If it’s a Stinger brand lift, contact Stinger. They will have you get them a few measurements and send you the needed cables. My buddy did his Stinger, and it wasn’t bad. Just need a strong helper to move the treads around and help thread the new cable.

I had New Trend in Fontana do this exact thing for a client of mine back around 2016. Hit up Jesse and tell I sent you.

Seen a couple bent lifts most platforms have 4” cross members weight is near the outside when converted weight is all in the center most new belly lifts have larger cross members just my two cents

A buddy's new stinger belly lift (maybe 2 years old) had the lift bend on the belly run. Pretty crazy considering that's what it is designed for. He hauls two sandcars (one up top). He had to DIY and weld in some new thicker square tubes down the belly lift and try to straighten out the bent tube as much as possible.
