Bad rv fire tonight. Pad 2

Sitting on pad 5 tonight. Canal side. I can see Black smoke off in the distance toward the first few pads. Take a look and somethings on fire. Hop in the truck and check it out.
Pad 2 fully involved RV fifth wheel and truck fire. Asked the people on the pad if everyone was ok and yes. All safe.
Sad night.

My buddy had this happen in 1994 or 1995, we were out on a ride and came back to a smoldering frame (camp was hard to find). His brother had rolled in just as it was starting to smoke and wondered when we installed the fireplace. He was able to go in throw a few things out the door and salvage some beer before he got to watch it go down. These fires are pretty spectacular. I had left my Rv keys on the floor and he moved mine out of area as we were nose to tail in gecko.

That was my Old Bosses group that it happened in.. He told me today it went up Very fast they did what they could with Fire ext but it didn't stop it..Very sad..

Cedar Creek RV group I'm part of just had a Chevy truck catch fire and burn to the ground with their 5th attached to it. Any idea what model trailer it was? Forest River had a recall on some do to wiring (affected our Cedar Creek) in the 7 pin connection.

Per wife’s post on IG… Started in the battery compartment no warning. Normal batteries not lithium. 2016 Keystone Fuzion 2023 GMC diesel.

We fulltime in ours and leave it unlocked regardless because our dogs are in there.
