I use fogging oil in the same way. Steel gas tanks, both on bikes and the 5 gallon variety. I also fill up the carb and petcock plus a healthy shot into the cylinder or cylinders. Waking up a bike that has sat a long time is so much easier with a few kicks and a very smoky exhaust.

Im no motor guy, I'd like to see this kind of testing done with fuel additives. I put some in fuel but never oil
