Anyone with a Big Building on property / shop Check out this stuff

We just shut down my Buddies warehouse and could not give away the racks , we even called the place he bought them from and offered to drop them off-  he ended up paying almost $1000 to get someone to scrap them.

So many venture backed startups and Bank funded small businesses are folding in So Cal that my buddy in the liquidation business is busier than he has been in 10 years

Scrapping those racks seems to be the norm. My buddy Larry just carried several tons of racks to his back yard. His buddy is closing a warehouse and they needed to go. Larry said, "Put me in coach". He has an issue with hoarding and plans on organizing his "Stuff". (This will not happen) Anyway, scrap steel doesn't bring much. If it will cover the price of gas and labor okay, but I suspect no.

I would of thought just the opposite. Every time I am looking for racking, I can never find it. Or people want an arm and a leg.

i had a job to clean up a property asap. it had stacks of pallet racking. I called a scrapper and the guy showed up and loaded up like 3 trailers full.

my job was done, collected my check and left lol. great day and he did all the work
