we are looking @ a 2009 with 170K on it.  its a friend of the family & she takes care of her stuff.  the car really looks good.

Update: this is a 4Cyl, SE.

what kind of long term maint needs to get done to these?  timing belts?  Transmissions? CV's? etc?

thanks

Bob

MAF sensors were a problem with our company cars...didn't keep them long enough to know about the other stuff....sorry.

Our 2007 SEL V6 just rolled over 300K   Still runs like NEW! Water pump, heater hose y-connector(buy the metal one and ditch the plastic, valve cover gaskets, CV's and shocks/struts to date. Besides standard tune-up junk...

We had a 2008 with the V6 sold it at 250k miles. Burnt a quart of oil every 5k starting around 220k.

Before I came around my wife took it to jiffy lube who forgot to fill it with oil. She drove 3 days before she figured it out. That was around 60k.

As of last year it was still going with 270k on it

My buddy had an 06 with the 4cyl. I remember helping him replace the front unitized wheel bearings pretty early on (less than 100k) and we had to take apart the smog pump and clean it out a little after 100k. I think it was a smog pump or part of the egr. It was a pump of some kind that filled up with soot to the point that the electric motor that turned it was struggling and throwing a code. Kinda blew my mind that it had an electric smog pump but cleaning it out kept the code from coming back.

Use Lucas injector cleaner and it keep some of those problems from happening. I have some of the little bottles and just refill them with the gallon bottle. DON~~~
