I'm thinking about getting my wife a 911. Any experts here? I'm looking at good condition, low mileage used. Probably in the 2016-2018 vintage range. Found a nice Carrera S but curious if it is worth it to spend the extra $$ to go up to a Turbo or even Turbo S model? I have researched the spec differences. Seems like the Carrera S would be more than enough HP and fun to drive. This would not be a daily driver. Just a Sunday fun car or similar. Any thoughts or real world feedback from anyone that might have one?

I’ve had quite a few. I don’t think a S would be worth the extra money for what you’re looking for. I have a GT3RS I’ll sell ya. Lol

I would imagine a Carrera S would be plenty of car for most women. The price jump to a TurboS is substantial, and for that money if its just a weekend "fun" car, then I'd look at a GT3. Theres just no comparing the experience (sound) of a N/A flat six vs a turbo.

You want a classic! 1987 Porsche 924s (has the 944 motor in it)

Look how much $$ you'll save!!!

I haven't driven a 991 Carrera, but they are cool AF and you can get the 7 speed manual with rev matching downshifts. Would make an awesome car for anyone.

I've driven both the GT3 and Turbo S and the GT3 is hands down the best car I've ever driven for the reason you cite and just wasn't a fan of the Turbo because of the AWD
