Since tires seem to be the topic of discussion as of late, I will ask my question.
After reading the 36's too big for an S4 thread and the 36's/35.5's on 8" wheel thread I have been pretty torn on tire selection.
My car is 2530lbs with a Fortin H pattern 4 speed. Twin turbo LS that I'm still waiting to get back on the dyno but for sake of the question, let's say 600 whp.
Current tire is 33 Blaster #2 on 17-8 Raceline wheel. Going to need tires soon since these are 2005 date stamped. I keep leaning towards the 36's but don't want to be under powered nor do I want to blow stuff up. LOL!
What are your thoughts on running the 36's with my setup?
On that note, I see a ton of "500hp" cars with S4's running 36's and 35.5's but I wonder how much performance is being lost or gained.
STU recommended WHP:
33 #2 500+ hp
36 #1 550-650 hp - #2 650+ hp
35.5 #1 750-900hp - #2 900+ hp
