Brought my 2020 Stealth home today for a trip this weekend. Running the Gen and turned on the AC at the wall thermostat and it will not blow cold air. I can hear the compressor Cycle on. I have cleaned the filter for the incoming air as well as checked the unit from on the roof and everything looks and sounds normal. Any ideas?

show a picture of the thermostat when on

Ran the unit for about 20 minutes and pulled the cover off. Below is what I am seeing. Any ideas?

Cleaned the filter that is inside the coach and went on the roof with my cordless blower and blew out both the evaporator and condenser, but have not seen any change in performance. Has anyone seen these units die so quickly?

Im no AC tech but that looks like you dont have any air moving across the coils.  Is the fan running?

Looks like it's freezing over trying to get to an impossible 64 degrees. I would try running it at 76 degrees first, then gradually bring it down to 73 or 72 degrees. Sorry, wish I could help more.

Both fans are moving quite a bit of air.

I am going to adjust the thermostat up and see if that makes a difference.

See any oil? Might be out of freon. Is the condenser lines getting hot?

Without gauges, it is hard to tell what is happening.

My guess is low freon level.

I wish these damn systems were not sealed so I could check the level. Everything else so far has tested out to be ok. Sucks to pay so much money for these damn things and cant even use it when we need to.

I added a residential type filter to my trailer AC. Lots of people told me that added restriction could cause the coils to freeze up.

Maybe you have an airflow issue. Guessing its ducted?

Could turn it to fan mode and stick your hand up at the registers. Make sure there is a decent airflow coming out of each one.

Hopefully its a freon issue that will not be charged to you.

I camped next to a tech from Camping World.  He said 'a lot of people solder in an adapter so you can re-charge them with freon'.  You might need a buddy who works in HVAC to do it.  Supposedly there is a huge backorder if you need to buy a new one..........

Thank you all for the suggestions. Going to start calling around to see what supply looks like and if its impossible to get one I will just recharge it myself. I have a buddy that could soldier the connector on.

My question is, how can I find out how much freon the unit needs? I am afraid of over charging the unit.

Quick update! I spoke with Dometic and they have around 4K units in stock.( Very Surprised) Issue now is getting the trailer into a dealer or service center to have it replaced. Does anyone know a Mobil techs that are authorized by Dometic?
