From what i remember Alper motorsports was the guy to talk to on this topic. But this is my pulley setup on my sandcar. I believe i need to run a bigger pulley on the alternator right?

you overdrive the alternator, so it uses a smaller pulley than the crank pulley, by a ratio upwards of 3:1

Yes we still have pulleys,
Anodized Black is with pockets is $60, and we have the ultra high rib sides those are also $60,

These alternators where not made to run high rpm all the time, I run a 7.5 balancer with a 3.2 alt pulley, I have never gone through a Alternator, mine is now 15 years old,

A alternator can have a defect in the brushes or the amplifier, but the ones running small pulleys when they go out, and you pull the rear cover and it is melted, you know that the rpm is over the limit for a long time.

I knew you’d have the right info. I also have the 7.5” balancer. So what do i need to do to order the 3.2 from you?
