Okay GD.com peeps,

I am looking to upgrade my Gen 4 and want the digital style controller so I can dump the air and have multiple presets for refilling. Already have compressor and tank. Which system do you recommend? Thanks

I think everyone is using the Air Lift P3 system.  I'm just starting to gather the components to do this and Ill be using that system.

I upgraded a Funco G52 to the Air Lift P3. @tjz06 bought everything from Funco in a kit. The car already had a compressor but only a small 1/2 gallon tank. I installed the 5 gallon tank and P3 controller, upgraded Funco air lines and fittings and the manifold. Pretty straight forward install.

P3 controller is on the right.

The new controller sucks.

They just don’t always fully adjust. Say you have it set at 50F and 60R it will time out before it reaches set pressure. Will often take multiple times to get to settings. Same for releasing pressure. Hard to see the screen also. Old controller was simple and worked flawlessly for me.

Curious why? I've only installed them and never owned one but you've had numerous.

Please advise. I just bought this system. Not installed yet!
Mine was one of the first new controllers. looks like the new one is even Bluetooth  mine wasn’t. It’s probably better now

I see you can still get the APV2 controller also. That was the previous version that worked well.

I have two new kits. One of the last ones with the square controller and this new kit.

The old one (controller) so to speak was hard to read in sunlight and captured sand, so I decided to go with the latest offerings.

Good info man. TJs has the Bluetooth and I put it on my phone. Seems like something I'd never use. I did see that the setting for dump doesn't actually dump tonzero psi. Have to hit it again to drop it the last 5psi. Maybe TJ got it dialed in better than I did.

Late to the party, but I agree I kinda hate the controller itself.  It takes a zillion pushes to get it to dump.  Then sometimes, I start it and it won't go to the ride height setting.  Or it'll go all the way up to like 80 all around, so I hit ride height a few times and get frustrated and dump it but then have to wait for the tank to fill to get back to ride height while everybody is taking off for the ride.  I didn't even realize it's BT, so I haven't tried the phone app... but that controller is one thing I really want to change.

BTW I read somewhere that the issue with not dumping with one push is it'll only dump for a certain period of time.  So if your valves and lines aren't big 'nough it times out before you're dumped.  That seems like a poor design to me.

What size lines are recommended?

Pretty sure 1/4" are standard, but the 3/8" line will empty and fill faster.
