.. TH.. Kayaks.. firewood.. fishing, ... etc. It was 100 degrees in Laguna Hills when we were there... Mammoth topped out at about 70 degrees. We were making camp fires at 3pm as it was in the 50's by then. So peaceful. It was September 2013.

.. After the trip, I noticed (sometime later) that my generator had the altitude adjustment. I didn't know about it. We were about 8500 feet if I remember correctly. Gen did run, but it ran a little 'quiet.' Anyhow, so tranquil up there I felt bad even running the gen for an hour a day to recharge the 12 V batteries. Now that I have a 4 6V and solar system, I wouldn't even start the Gen, unless we needed the microwave.

Hope you're all having a good week. I'm the most busy (with my business) that I have been in a decade. The semiconductor allocation is CRAZY and I have tons of parts. I'm charging 5.. 10.. 25 times normal cost ... Sweet $$.. .. if I was younger I'd buy another SCU, Alumicraft for maybe a Funco.

Perspective... our goal in 2004 when we started the business was to make $20k GP each month.. I think I'll make $200k in GP... this MONTH!!... all in the bank.. GOD might take me... who knows when...

... I'm ready... LOL...

Rented this Pagnaglia (or whatever this 959cc Ducati is called)... rented it for 4 days when my wife was in NY.. rode it for 4 hours and promptly returned it. I wouldn't have 'made it' 4 days.. without a track.. LOL.. had it in 'Sport' mode.. there wasn't an exotic car, dragster.. anyone who could even come close.. running down PCH...

Ha.. yeah that's why I took the photo. The other side is similar,... inches between trees... also since us Glamis folks flip our axles the back is over a cut tree stump that it could only clear with the higher ride height.

You'll have a blast.. we were at Twin Lakes.. or Mary Lakes.. can't remember... we took the Kayaks to all the different lakes.. George, etc. Had them locked to a tree a few hundred yards from our 'dry camp' spot. We could just hop in and under a bridge see that nice waterfall.

Make sure you move your TH altitude deal.. that I figured out after the trip.

Thanks for posting the pics, brings back great memories.  Back in the late 60's through the early 80's may family usually did 1 to 2 weeks in the Eastern Sierras.  Usually at Rock Creek.  We had a non-standard spot along the creek south of the lake until the USFS blocked it off with rocks sometime in the late 70's  Did not go much after that as my Dad hated camping near anyone.

That’s the sh__!
