Well another successful Green Valley Lake trip in the books. The cabin owner and his 3 daughters, my 25 year old son, 16 year old daughter and his buddy, also 25. We took 2 MX, 1 quad and the 3 RZRs. Had a GREAT time. So proud of the girls. Our 16 year olds drove RZRs the whole time. You couldn't peel my son off of that YFZ450 (his sister's quad). Only mishap was my son's friend dumped the CRF450 and got scraped up. We just covered his wounds in duct tape..

Here's some photos of the trip.

Have a GREAT week!

What no carnage pix??????? Somebody getting old and slow?????????
Actually almost a head-on collision. I was leading in The Black One and rounded a blind corner, came head-on with a 4 runner that was going WAY to fast, I was doing 10-15mph, he had to be 25mph+, both of us slammed on the breaks and stopped 10 feet from each other.

I always lead and we use the race radios, yelled traffic to the rest of the group behind me.

Thats the real risk up there. Also tons of mountain bikers. Better to go on a weekday IMO.

That's every single trail in So-Cal on every single weekend.

At least it was not a Sign-n-Drive UTV guy hauling ass like it is most of the time now...

Was he towing a Space Shuttle? (Toy Collector that's for you buddy)

Thus the reason I don't ride my dual sport MC anymore up there (or Dove Springs), way too many close call with head on's.................sad but reality.

^ ^ ^ which is why I stopped riding the popular local trails. It used to just be two-wheelers and the occasional couch errr quad, but once the SXS boom of the mid aughts hit, me and my riding friends were over it.  Private land, out of the way single track and Glamis only.  I should probably mention all 3 of my bikes were stolen a few weeks back so maybe it's time to get a cage?

Looks like some good family time ABC . . .

Are you serious? on the bike thefts?

WTF...

Yeah, my buddy who came with us lives across the street, owns a plumbing company, they tried to steal his truck last week (dead man switch), but instead managed to grab about $5k in items. He has an RV spot with a locked gate on his property, so he's going to pull in his truck each night and use my dually to block the gate (otherwise he could get blocked in).

I bought my house in Laguna Hills 19 years ago and in the last ten years, mainly the last 3, it's gotten really bad here (crime).

They don't prosecute the tweekers/criminals, so they have free reign to commit their crimes. Usually between 1am-3am. Cameras just capture the crime. I've had detectives at my house 3 times to share footage and only once did it result in a conviction (cause they could easily identify him).

I put GPS in my TH and Toy Box. I'm insured, but the models I have, Turbo S Velocity's were only made for 3 years and would be hard to replace.

Sucks.

I agree with the trail riding, it can be extremely dangerous. Didn't used to be that way. Probably need to move to Utah.

Yeah, I had my chiz at my brother's storage yard in Signal Hill a block from his business.  They got my 3 bikes (Honda CR250 2 stroke, CRF450 and Ducati 900ss), my brother's CRF450, and 3 automobile engines for his various restoration projects from a locked shipping container. Waiting to see what insurance says  . . .
