So on the 23rd of last month, I played in a scramble golf tournament at Vista Valley. We started on hole number 15 and as we finished hole 15 to go to 16, we had to cross one of the main roads that split the golf course. As we got onto the cart path at hole 16, my buddy Mike saw this little guy sitting about a foot off the cart path. I didn’t know what it was at first, thought it was just a piece of black cloth. Turned out to be a two week old kitten, still alive. His eyes were barely opened and couldn’t walk. I grabbed him, made a makeshift bed in the back of the cart, and hopes he would survive through the round. He did. I took him to the vet on the way home, they said he’s just a little over two weeks old, and a boy. They set me up with KMR powdered milk, bottle feeder, and directions on how to take care of him. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, just never one so young. He’s an adorable little dude. Have to bottlefeed him every three hours, stimulate him to go to the bathroom, and keep an eye on him at all times. He’s getting healthy. He started out at 5 ounces, and is now 10.6 ounces this morning. I named him bogey.
