As the title suggested

Sweet 'ol girl pretty well on the way to being a solid trail rig.  Started life as an AZ forest service ride. Retired and put into daily/trail duty.

Factory Dana 44 rear, typical 30 front.  Regeared to 4:10s, lockers in both.  Kinda updated with newer Wrangler stuff(NV3350, cable shift 231, etc..)  Bigger units, one piece front axle shaft.  Current tires are 33/12.50

6" Rough Country lift.  Long arms in the front.  Springs and shackle relocate in the rear.  C-rok steering box stiffener, and rock sliders.  Full roof rack.  50"(?) LED light bar.  Bluetooth radio.

Being that it is/was a .gov ride...it is power nothing.  Manual windows and locks.  Someone put A/C in it at some point..it works. New blower motor..

I've bought a TON of stuff that didn't get installed as I lost interest in it.  Full sheet metal fabricated front winch bumper (it will have some of the best welds you've ever seen on it..) .  Sheet metal rear bumper that still needs welded.  Full 6 point cage kit,  full frame stiffener kit, (my fab guy at work quit), aluminum radiator with electric fans.  I also have some high back suspension seats I was gonna put in it.  Faux brown leather like a football.

I recently installed a new fuel tank, fuel pump, filter, 4 hole Volvo injectors, and a new regulator.

It's rattle can tan bed liner.  Included will be a case of extra paint.

I daily'd it for about a year.  But has kinda been put out to pasture as I collected parts to go to the next level. Starts/runs/drives just fine, but got moved down the list.  $6000 obo  in Phoenix.

I'm only selling it as I have my eye on a similarly equipped LJ.

Am I way off here?

$5k+ rig with 3k in stuff you can install or sell...

Also included is a new 33" BFG AT on a factory wheel as a spare, and a chinese knock off 6 position "Switch pro" kit.  Think I have 2 2x2 LED pod lights waiting to be installed too.

ETA..shadows make it look kinda like the sheet metal is wrinkled.  Not the case.  No major damage.

Fresh Limo tint all the way around, so any Cali folk will need to remedy that...

I might have missed it, 4.0L (I guess it has to be w/ the factory 44)?  Any interior pics?  Is it daily-able (for a Jeep person, that is)?  What lockers?

in 84 when the xj came out they all had dana 35. the factory felt that the added power of the 4.0 required a 44 rear diff so most came with it.

however a few test mules got a 35s, they held up and by 1988 all XJs had 35s as did the wranglers

you just got lucky and btw I feel your asking price is fair just need to find the right guy who wants a 2door.

look on rac/dez, folks are asking way more GLWS

Yep, 4.0. I dailied it for almost a year, so I guess. But I really only went to/from work which is 15 miles round trip.

The interior isn't anything special. Bare bones tan. Rear seat back is out of it to haul haul sht, but I have it. I started the swap to a higher trim full cluster. Not the Speedo/fuel only unit. Still needs the right sensors installed.

Oh, big bore throttle body too.

This was the list my buddy gave me when I got it from him..

Sorta. Generally ABS models or 4 bangers had the Turdy-5. 87-89s with tow package came with 44s. After 1991, however, the common axle was the Chrysler 8.25, which can be mistaken for a 35, but it’s considerably stronger. 8.25s were 27spl until late 96 when they went 29spl. All were 3” axle tubes. All fronts were D30 HPs until 2000. 4 bangers were 4.10:1, autos 3.55 and 4.0 manuals 3.07.
