Hey gents I am starting to put some parts together for a 383 LS stroker build
I have a Ls6 block that will get cleaned up and punched over to accept the 3.905 pistons
I'm looking at stroker kits but am not sure what i would need for pistons flat, dome, dish and how big.
trying to stick to pump gas and hoping for 550 crank hp if feasible

ill be running cnc ported 243s with Texas speed 660 spring kit.
ls7 lifters. and rockers with possibly a trunnion kit if recommended
which of these cams would be best suited for a sand car build all of them state no valve clearances required if none of these please provide an alternate
#1 tsp torquer v4 stage 3 cathedral cam 231/234 .629"/.615" 111 LSA
#2 tsp 228R 228/228 .600/.600 112LSA
#3 tsp no specific name 233/239 .600"/.600" 112 LSA
#4 tsp stage 2 cathedral cam 228/232 .600/.600 112 LSA
#5 tsp torquer v2 232/234.600"/.600" 112 LSA

I also have a fast lsxr 102 intake and fast 102 dbc throttle body with 42lb injectors from what i have read may be good for my application. I got all this for helping a buddy out so i wouldn't be disappointed if i have to change the injector to something else.

Also to add to this my current ls6 in the car cylinder 4 seems to be slightly misfiring i put all brand new coils, plugs and injectors in this thing with no luck compression is 150 across the board the injector is firing and I'm getting spark but this cylinder is running richer than the others. anyone have experience with this? the car doesn't seem down on power it just makes an odd puff sound through the exhaust and the spark plug showing rich conditions. I borescoped the cylinder and it looks great and pulled the valve cover and no obvious issues no valve lash and everything was torqued to spec. if i pull the plug on the injector or coil on that cylinder it makes zero difference in how it runs compared to all other cylinders which make an obvious misfire sound. I'm leaning towards something wrong in the valvetrain but im hoping someone in here has had this same issue.

also along with the new coils i replaced the coil harnesses. I know im getting good fuel but maybe not enough air or possibly a weak spark? let me know what you guys think.

I should have most of the parts in stock or will have them in a week,
On the Camshaft, i prefer CamMotion the ramp angle are less, easier on the lifters, we set them up around 8.5cr

well gentlemen i replaced every sensor and electronic on this thing and the last thing i needed to check was the fuel pressure regulator i pulled the vacuume line off of the intake and the regulator was just pouring fuel into the #4 cylinder runner which makes total sense as to why when i pulled that injector plug it didnt make any difference in how the motor ran. i have a new regulator on the way and hopefully that will solve my rich condition. i will keep you all posted as to if that fixes my problem.
