Finally selling after no use for years - about 16.

10 or so years ago, one of my son's friends was going to "get it running" when I was working out of town. Luckily I caught on before they ever got far and tried to start it - but not before they messed up the carb enough that it's not able to be rebuilt.

So, went looking for a new carb to replace this one. Didn't think it was going to be a big deal until realizing all the aftermarket carbs do not allow for the TPS on the 2005.

OEM carb is anywhere from 650 to more than 800 at the dealer.

I'm reading some older threads on a suzuki forum that people are just running them without the TPS connected and it's fine?

Any one of you have any info?

TIA!

Isn't the TPS on this a go no-go kind of thing?  I think you can bypass it?

for that kind of money you can get a  lectron carb...  did you try Sudco for a carb?

there a parts only one on ebay for 165.... tps holes are messed up.... JB weld anyone????

Thank you RBL! Sent all the links to the BF for him to decide :)

If you disconnect the TPS the ignition timing will advance because the CDI sees this as WOT. Probably won’t notice much if any difference if the engine is stock.

Check out zoom zoom parts.com

they make a replacement”fcr” carb and intake

have one on my sons bike and after some tuning trial and error it’s awesome

(has a 440 kit as well)
