Anyone can snap a pic of your VIN, its visible anytime its parked outside.Usually to run carfax and a lot of times it’s a dealer…. There’s nothing they can do with your vin really. Only vehicles I wouldn’t give it out for are cars with keyless start…. They can make a clone and steal them
