1989 jeep xj. I’ve owned for about 7 years. It has strictly been a trail rig for me. This is not a daily driver, it is purpose built for off road. Its not a mall crawler this jeep has been driven hard. Its not perfect.

mods: full frame supports from IRO, rubicon express track bar mount, 4130 heimed track bar. Front bumper with warn winch and full asking. Winch can come off if someone wants to negotiate. Roof rack, hid lights, 3” lift which consists of rear leafs and front coils/arms. I have an IRO 3 link kit for it. The mounts and cross member have been installed but the arms are not. I also have a late model dana 30 from a zj for it with chromoly axles, jcr truss, jcr knuckle reinforcements, and currie 1 ton steering. The rear axle is an explorer 8.8 with limited slip and disk brakes. All new brakes and braided brake lines. Rear axle has an IRO truss and custom 3/8 thick diff cover front/rear. Driveshafts have all new joints.

motor is a 4.0l recent fuel tank, pump, filter, lines, new volvo 746 injectors (4 hole vs single hole), recent waterpump, belt, alternator, power steering pump, thermostat, all hoses, open cooling system with electric fan. Currie motor mounts.

Transmission is the ax-15 5 speed manual, perfect shifts, good clutch, 5 speed is rare and hard to find in a 4 door xj, and will hold up to a small block v-8. New trans mount.

Interior is pretty spartan. Driver seat has a small tear, back seat is good shape, needs a headliner. Steering column has a bad bushing but i’ve driven it like this for 7 years. Pioneer head unit with usb, kicker speakers. Rear hatch has led camp light built in.

exterior is a trail rig. Rockers have quite a few dents, clear coat is peeling, rear fenders were cut and pinched for clearance. Front fenders are clearance cut. I never babied this jeep but im not a fan of mud either.

I have an 02 tahoe with a 5.3l v8 that can be thrown in for the right price.

It sits on 31” bfg’s great tread with mostly dirt miles (i’ve never driven this on the freeway, if it travels it goes on the flatbed trailer). Have a set of 33” tires that go with it.

It also has 3.73 gearing (stock is 3.05) which is perfect for it on 31/33’s

@Kraut_n_Rice

Yes local. Sold based off an offer up ad, my friend posted it on facebook and i by far got the most interest from there. But i refused to sell it to anyone buying it for their teenager or as a daily driver.

tons of tire kickers and people who dont read ads or look at the photos
