1987 YJ JEEP what is it worth?

First off full disclosure this has nothing to do with gear one or myself. I am not a jeep guy, I have know idea what this is worth. I am going to be listing this for my girlfriends father here in the next couple of days. He wants 40k for it. This is the info I have for it. Any help would be awesome, if someone is interested I can get a deal for a GD.com member.

40 is probably a stretch for a carb'd big block YJ on leafs.

You can get a much more capable V8 swap Tj with 3/4 linked/coil overs, 1 tons, 40+" tires for under 30.

Brutally honest opinion. That jeep is a hard sell; “the right buyer” for this is a very narrow segment of todays market. Its kind of just a all show no go build. Something you drive slow down the drags and cannot be registered for street use. Its worth way more in parts. It has alot of cool stuff, but its basic suspension with too much motor and big tires. You can get something much more versatile dirt, street, sand, rocks for 40k$ ie yj with classy ls swap 4l80 60’s linked and stretched
