    Slate EV Trucks

No leasing at this time but maybe in the future. I don't think they were ever supposed to be $15K but originally, they were shooting for $20K and the covid inflation came. Rising only 25% to $25K tells me they will probably sell base models at a loss as the rest of the country went up 40%.

    Slate EV Trucks

I have my eye on a blank slate with power windows, center console, and bring your own speaker mount. I don't think any of them will be under $30K out the door which pushes me back to a known manufacturer but we will see.

Any Real World Experience With Doyle True RMS Multi-Meters From HF?

Do you just need a simple volt meter? Get the Doyle. I used an unbranded freebie harbor freight MM for years and it did what I needed it to. When I started electric power technology (Trade school), I told myself I wouldn't buy a fluke till I knew why they were so expensive. Once I found out, I...

New Shop Plans - Am I missing Anything?

Consider an exhaust fan/extraction fans for removing fumes and creating a breeze when its nice out. Also, great idea of the separate grinding/welding room. I'm having a lean-to roof built off the back of my metal building not only for covered storage but for the grinding machines to be outside...

long shot, in need of an excavator track pin press

Farmcraft101 Very good channel for all sorts of farm fixes and how things work. He is incredibly patient and works hard to show how something works or how to go about fixing it when it doesn't.

Looking for a 22RE engine or Toyota guru to ask questions in AZ

22R/RE engines are simple and bulletproof. I didn't tear mine down all the way but i pulled it and broke it down to a long block after blowing a head gasket on the way to glamis in my teens. American pickups were called the hilux till '76 or there abouts, then they were just called a toyota...

    AI in construction

I spent 5 years in trade school. My last year, most of my classmates used some form of AI to do their homework. Is this like our teachers telling us not to rely on a calculator because you won't always have a calculator around? I don't think so. I agree with the race to the bottom.

Oceano Dunes OHV CLOSED as of 04/14/2026

I'm not up on the area like I used to be. The coastal commission were a big driver in the push to close the area. Environmental angles were a tool. The environmentalists were happy to help.

Gas is gonna get real expensive here.

Oil dropped to $95 almost instantly after the "cease fire". It was around $115 but has been going up and down between the two. Oil supplies here in the states have been growing also. I hope that means gas will go down a bit.

    Crashed F15 in iran.

That's a c-130 or rather 2 of them. They flew in some little bird helicopters and a bunch of other material and staff to form a temporary base of operations to search for the missing F-15 pilot in those planes and landed in Iran on an unimproved runway. The 2 big C-130's were unable to take off...

It's Saturday April 4th 2026.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

What kind of 'Cado? Haas and its hybrids are ready to go in February. Are you just seeing pollinized fruit appearing or have yours been hanging on the tree since last year? Grapping a juicy Washington orange or any ripe citrus off the tree is one of the perks of living here. Gotta love the farm...

Gas is gonna get real expensive here.

I'm next door in Cucamonga. Except for one Chevron, no one is closer than 50 cents a gallon under their price for regular and diesel is 75 cents cheaper. I had to use gas buddy to search that high. That shell must be the highest price station in the area.

Gas is gonna get real expensive here.

He must not like money to fill up there. I put 22 gallons of 87 in my dually at costco over the weekend. $120. Gas was going up 10 cents or more a day.

Are CT125’s a thing or what?

Honda has knocked it out of the park with the mini motos. I swore up and down that I was going to be first in line for an updated CT125 trail cub when Honda re-released them. Everything was right but the lack of a low range trans and no extra trail tank. The looks and performance are exactly...

Gas is gonna get real expensive here.

87 is $4.99 here in Cucamonga, SoCal. Oil had spiked to $115 shortly after I started this thread. It calmed down to $78 but has since gone back up and seems to have stabilized at $97. Iran is allowing very little ship traffic through the straights of hormuz so all the tankers are parked.
